Weixing Film Studio provides production support across China, with Chengdu as our base in Sichuan — home to some of the country’s most diverse and cinematic locations.

From automotive and brand films to features and commercials, we focus on making sure the practical side of production runs smoothly: permits, crew, equipment, builds, and logistics. That way, directors, agencies, and clients can keep their attention where it belongs — on the story.

When challenges come, we deal with them in a calm and structured way, protecting both the schedule and the vision. And, as on any well-run set, we keep an eye on the basics — environmental care, on-site medics, and community safety — so productions are run with care: for the people, for the place, and for the chance to film here again.

Behind us is a full in-house backbone — permits, production crew, sparks, finance, HR, art, tech, kitchen, and runners — all working together to keep shoots running steadily and consistently.

Chengdu crews work across every terrain, from dense city streets to high-altitude passes above 3,000 meters. Extreme weather and thin-air environments are part of their normal rhythm, where stamina and safety planning matter as much as technical skill.

For key creative roles such as Directors of Photography,, Gaffers, and Production Designers, we collaborate with trusted freelancers who bring long-standing international experience, many of them bilingual. We also respect that directors and DoPs often have their own preferred units — our role is to integrate these teams seamlessly with the local backbone, so the production stays cohesive from start to finish.

👉 Production Support

From automotive campaigns to brand films and even simple print shoots, we cover full-chain coordination — producers, crews, art, runners, and catering. City streets, mountain passes, or remote villages: we make sure every element connects smoothly.

👉 Location Scouting & Permitting

China’s landscapes are vast — from snow peaks and deserts to megacities and ancient towns. Our location managers (5–20 years’ experience) scout year-round and handle both land and airspace permits directly with local authorities. For drones, car rigs, or city closures, permits aren’t just paperwork — they safeguard the production.

Studio & Ready Set Facilities

👉 Five standalone sound stages (300–1500㎡), including one 1500㎡ stage with a 21m × 8m LED wall
👉 A 5000㎡ build space for large-scale sets
👉 LED screen studio (1500㎡) — ideal for weather delays without cancelling shoot days
👉 Ready-to-shoot sets: 1:1 sets: bar, villa, hospital, classroom, residential interiors, and more
👉 A permanent local filming street with shops, temples, houses, courtyards, and markets

Props & Set Build

Chengdu’s largest props warehouse — over 100,000 pieces from antique to contemporary. Props masters also support practical effects such as smoke rigs, liquid pours, and Phantom 4K droplet shots.

Our in-house set construction crews — carpenters, painters, contractors — are guided by set-build supervisors and production designers, ensuring safe, practical, and camera-ready builds, from full-scale stadiums to detailed train cabins.

👉 Equipment & Specialty Shoot

One of Chengdu’s largest in-house camera and grip inventories — ARRI Alexa packages, Scorpio cranes, DJI Inspire drones, and all types of rigging support — all maintained and operated by our in-house crew. For advanced needs, we also provide precision remote heads, Bolt X high-speed Cinebot systems, TRINITY 2 human-rig stabilizers, Filmotechnic tracking vehicles, and other complex setups with certified specialist operators.

Executive Producers

Weixing’s executive producers bring complementary strengths shaped by decades in film.

Ace, originally from Singapore and now based in Chengdu, began producing in her early 20s and has worked internationally across campaigns, commercials, and features. She bridges overseas collaborations into China with an instinct for both the creative and the practical.

Yang, rooted in Chengdu, has led shoots across almost every region of the country — from deserts to Tibet’s high mountains to Shanghai’s city streets. With over 20 years of experience, he carries deep knowledge of China’s production landscape.

Both began their careers in the era of negative film — a time when every frame required careful preparation and discipline. That foundation still defines how they lead today: precise research, thoughtful evaluation before decisions, clear and well-planned logistics, and steady guidance from prep to wrap.

Above all, their focus is on people: ensuring both local teams and international partners are supported, with attention to welfare as well as the work itself.
